Online hypnosis sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions!
Hypnosis sessions done as a live online video conference are just as effective as in-person. I’ve seen clients around the world (and locally) in this format for years, and it’s as easy as clicking a link — and we’re immediately connected.
Hypnosis … It’s you who is in control!
99% of the population can be hypnotized because hypnosis is a natural state of mind. You enter some form of hypnosis several times each day. Anyone can be hypnotized providing the following:
- They want to be hypnotized
- They do not have fears or misconceptions about hypnosis and how it works.
For many people, the thought of hypnosis brings up feelings of uncertainty. They think of being put into an unconscious state where they have no control. Nothing could be further from the truth. During hypnosis, you are deeply relaxed physically, but mentally, you are many times more alert than your normal state of awareness. You hear and respond to everything and have complete control over what you will and will not do. You instantly reject any idea or suggestion that is uncomfortable for you.
If you like and want a suggestion, you will allow it to enter into your subconscious mind. Hypnosis works because you are in a relaxed state of extreme concentration, solely focused on the message, deeply absorbing it, as opposed to a conscious mode in which you may trivialize, ignore or resist change. Once you’ve accepted the suggestion, your subconscious mind acts like a computer and responds to it automatically.
You are what you think…In other words, you are the result of what has been programmed through the years into your subconscious mind. If part of your mind views yourself as fat, then you become fat. If you identify yourself as a smoker, you smoke and so on with shyness, poor self-image, test taking anxiety and other problems.
Hypnosis is a 100% Consent State, if at anytime you want to emerge for any reason, you will instantly open your eyes and become fully alert. No one can keep you in hypnosis against your will.

Bill Murray Used Hypnosis To Treat Cat Allergy
Bill Murray Used Hypnosis To Treat Cat Allergy
Actor BILL MURRAY used hypnosis to cure his allergy to cats so he could share scenes with a feline in his film ST. VINCENT.
The Lost in Translation star plays a curmudgeonly hermit who spends most of his time with his pet cat Felix in the new movie, so Murray took an unconventional measure to treat his allergy to film with the animal.
He told comedienne Ellen DeGeneres in an interview on her U.S. talk show on Wednesday, “I read someplace that allergies are psychosomatic and you can actually hypnotise yourself and overcome the allergy.
“So I used to do that. I used to go to girls’ houses and they had cats and all of a sudden I’d be looking at them crying and they’d be like, ‘What did I say?’ and I’d go, ‘No, it’s not you!’ So I learned to hypnotise myself and get over it.
“But then I decided I didn’t really like cats that much, so I stopped. I’m more of a dog guy. But for the movie I went back to that and it worked.”
HYPNOSIS FOR FEAR OF FLYING
Virgin Airlines is known as one of the most innovative companies in the world and they have embraced hypnosis as part of their Flying Without Fear course. Virgin’s course (offered for both adults and children) provides attendees with psychological tools and tips, technical information, and even a test flight to help people overcome a fear of flying.
One of Virgin’s key team members is a hypnotist who shares a variety of behavioural techniques with participants, including hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). In addition to using a hypnotist, the course also includes a CD of relaxation suggestions for participants to use at home or on future flights.
This program is a great example of a practical application of hypnosis, helping to demystify hypnotherapy and bring it to the mainstream.
Book an appointment with me and let’s talk about overcoming your fear of flying.

Glued to the floor: Supertrance Hypnosis
Angie Bender glues Courtney to the floor. Great hypnosis at the Salmon Arm Secondary School Grad, April 30th, 2013. http://www.SuperTrance.net
Body Board – how did they do that!
An amazing display by show hypnotist Rob Hadley (assisted by Angie Bender) of Supertrance, at Salmon Arm Secondary School’s Grad Hypnosis Show. Courtney is hypnotized and told she is being wrapped in plastic and duct tape, and then finds herself bound so tightly her body becomes rigid. With the assistance of two other students she is then lifted and remarkably finds herself unable to move in this extraordinary display of show hypnosis. Rob Hadley is being assisted here by fellow hypnotist Angie Bender.
Sounds and hypnosis…
This is interesting, from the point of view of suggestion and hypnosis.
Professor David Hendy explains how sound – and its manipulation – is central to the shaman’s power.http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01rdzx0

A Regression With a Cutter
Here’s a great article written by Rob Hadley.
As a child my client, Jenny had experienced a frightening episode in the classroom. She was 7 years old, and eager to please her teachers. In one particular class she was expected to bring in a short essay. The children were just getting used to the concept of ‘homework’.

What are you afraid of?
Did you know that 1 in 9 people have a phobia of some sort! Hypnosis has been shown to be an effective treatment for many individuals with phobias. Common phobias are heights, flying, vomiting, snakes, spiders, germs, the dark, needles, blood , enclosed spaces, the # 13 and more.
For some individuals it can be mildly distressing but manageable. For others it can be seriously debilitating. A phobia is a fear of a particular stimulus. This stimulus can be a situation, a thing, or an activity. People with phobias will either go to great lengths to avoid whatever it is they fear, or they will tolerate it with considerable anxiety. For some people, a phobia can trigger panic attacks. In severe cases the phobia can end up literally controlling a person’s life.
Hypnotherapy works by accessing the underlying cause of the phobia and eliminating the person’s conditioned response to the stimulus. The cause is often a traumatic event which occurred at an earlier time in the person’s life. Often the phobic individual does not remember this event. It may be a memory which has been repressed for many years. Repression is a protective mechanism our mind utilizes by keeping memory of the trauma out of our conscious mind until we are ready and able to deal with it.
Hypnotherapy allows you to overcome your phobias in a short amount of time
“Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking, according to the largest ever scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit.”
“The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes of mind
-William James
The conscious mind understands the logic of it, and the unconscious mind understands the reality.
